A delayed weekend-resume...from familyparty

Hello everybody!

This is my second try to write this blog, so I hope for success now! ;-)

Last weekend we were in Sylling to celebrate my niece`s 17`th birthday. Her name is Camilla, and she is also the "mother" to Cindy, the very qute Cocker spaniel you have seen on this blog before.

Camilla is quite busy with school, but her favorite hobbie is to practice with Cindy, and hope to take her to exhibition one day. She is also a very loving and caring young lady, and has always been like that, so I really care for her and whish her all the best.

About Cindy, the 4 legged "niece", is also a bit naughty sometimes and loves to eat glowes, socks, panties, but most of the time she is a very cozy, loving little dog, like here with me. :-)

We all had a very nice evening, with very tasty food, dessert, snacks ++, and in fact it was also the first time that we ate on their new beautiful kitchen. My brother and sister in law, Heidi and Roald, have moved a lot of times the last years, but now I hope it is the last time for them..

Roald is my husbands brother and they are a quite small family but we try to meet as often we can, and are always having a good time together.

Last sunday was very warm and beautiful so we spent a lot of time outside on the terrase, and the "kids" and Cindy were having a lot of fun sledging down the long field, beside their house.

The "old" ones where chilling in the sun after having the snow outside of the balcony.

But at home in Kongsberg we still have a lot of snow, so it will take a long time before we can sit at our terrace. Maybe in easter-holiday if we can clear away the snow.

Hei og hopp!

Her kommer en nesten ren kreativ blogg!! ;-)

Ca. hver 3. uke har jeg sy/strikkemøte med 3 venninder, men i vinter har det sklidd litt ut, av en eller annen grunn. Kanskje fordi en av oss er i New York årets 4 første mnd..men synes ikke vi skal skylde på henne. Hun strikker ihvertfall masse i NY i en strikkebutikk med strikke-kafe og strikke-kafe på universitetet hun går på mm.

Men idag klarte vi å ha årets første sy/strikkemøte og da ble Anett ferdig med prosjektet hun har holdt på med i nesten 2 år! ;-) HURRA- Det ble et kjempefint teppe. Så all ære til henne for det! Anett with her knitted rug, finished after 2 years work :-) Very nice!!

The third of us is Lisbet and here she is knitting some huge mittens, that she shrinks before use. They are very warm. And it is possible to order it from her.

Og så er det meg, men det var ingen som tok bilde av meg når jeg strikket, men jeg har tatt bilde av det jeg strikket på, en Tunika, som jeg har holdt på med siden i høst. Synes den bør bli ferdig snart nå da! ;-) Men det er heller ikke så mye igjen, bare litt på bakstykket og forstykke. Endelig resultat vil også bli vist, men her er det midlertidige.

og så har jeg strikket pulsvarmere som nettopp er ferdige. De er strikket i to typer garn, et med perler i seg på hver 4. cm. ca og et alpakkagarn. Strikket to rader av hver, 2 vrid rett, 2 vrang og så forskjøv jeg det en maske etterhvert, så det så nesten ut som en flette. Ble fornøyd med de ;-)

My temporary baby :-)

Hi everybody.

This week I am the hostmother for a little baby on 4 legs ;-) And that is Cindy, my "niece" who belongs to my husbands brother, Roald, and his family, Heidi and Camilla. It is sooo cosy to have a dog in the house. She is really sweet and gives a lot of hugs and kisses.

Another pluss is all the exercise I get when I take her out for a walk. Even though I have to get up a bit earlier in the morning it doesn`t matter because she gives so much love <3

So thank God Im not allergic to animals,-Im really happy for that. ;-)

For a long time I wanted to have a dog in the family, but in fact it takes really much time, so I prefer to borrow a dog at this time in my life. Maybe when I get older and not are so busy, I can get a dog of my own...

Vinter, kulde og noe kreativt

Jeg beklager at jeg ikke er så veldig aktiv altså, men vinterbildene er relativt nye, men det er ikke det kreative...noen har til og med sett det før, men det får ikke hjelpe ;-) Først kommer et par kort jeg har laget. På det første er det vannoppløselig stoff-teknikk/applikasjon jeg har brukt.

Snowing i Norway, and something creative

Hi there! l thought it was abt. time to show something l have made, since the name of this blog is Hildes creative corner! So this is my "newest" product, a pair of pot-holders for my brother, who has got a new kitchen. These kind of handicrafts are among my favourites, because it goes so fast to make a pair, and everybody needs it. Another time l will show you more of this production. But the last couple of days it has been snowing a lot in Norway, so l have been out a lot to shuffle the snow away, because Bjørn, my husband, is in California..(he says he is working, but l think he just chillin in the sun, and take a bath in the pool ..;-) ) Spending so much time outside is a good thing in more ways. 1: l get fresh air. 2. l get exercize from taking all that heavy snow away. and 3. l see a lot of beautiful motives that l can take a picture from, and show it to you. So this is the sunset on tuesday outside our house. Beautiful, isn`t it?

And here you can see how much snow that we got the last 4 days. Now infact it is getting warmer, so the snow has started to melt..:-( Then it will be a lot of ice on the roads soon, and that is not good. The picture under is from our terrasse.

Sushi-party

Hi everybody. l am very fond of food and love to have long lunch, or big dinner with a lot of people. So when my friend suggested that we should make a SUSHI-party with a lot of girls, l was a bit sceptical at first because l have never eaten sushi before. But l soon agreed that it was a good idea.

We bought all the stuff we needed like norisheets, the fish, which we froze for a couple of days, wasabipaste, rice that we cooked before the guests came, vinegare, ginger etc.

But the whole clue was that we should make the sushi-bites together.

Very exiting, since it was just my friend who had tried to make it before, and only 3 out of 7 who had eaten sushi before. So Kjersti had printed out some recipts that we followed.

But it all turned out very well, and here you can see the result.

And everybody thought it was very good ;-)

Hei igjen!

Tenkte jeg skulle bli litt flinkere til å skrive noe her, siden vi nå er inne i et nytt år, 2009.

I juleferien var familien på Voss en liten tur, og der er det veldig flott natur, som jeg vil dele med dere her. Like ved min manns hjem ligger Bordalsgjelet, som er like flott både sommer og vinter. Dette bildet er tatt på veg til gjelet, og jeg syntes disse istappene var veldig flotte. Her har vi kommet oss inn i gjelet, trodde nesten ikke det var åpent på denne tiden av året, men det var det. Ganske villt og flott.

og så vil jeg vise et par bilder mot Voss, - som er en veldig idyllisk bygd, sommer som vinter.

og så kan jeg ikke styre meg for å vise dere "nasjonalretten" for Voss, smalahove !! Fantastisk god mat ;-) (I think this picture will scare my friends from US and India! The famous cuisine, smalahove, which is smoked sheep head! In fact many norwegians also get bad feelings from this fantastic food!) But I do eat it, yes! Yammi, yammi. Til slutt har jeg lyst å vise et par bilder fra turen hjem fra Voss, som gikk over Hemsedalsfjellet.

Da må vi kjøre gjennom Nord Europas lengste tunell, Lærdalstunellen, som har noen flotte lyssettinger. Beklager den litt dårlige kvaliteten på bildene, men de er tatt med mobilkamera, mens vi kjørte... ..from inside the Lærdalstunnell, Northern Europe`s longest tunnell, 25 km.
